2nd Annual Central Wisconsin Film Festival

Several award-winning short independent films from Wisconsin directors as well as shorts by Portage County filmmakers make up the program of the Second Annual Central Wisconsin Film Festival. The 2007 cwfilmfest will be aproximately 90 minutes, with screenings at the Lettie Jensen Center in Amherst, and Ben Franklin Jr High in Stevens Point. Organizers also hope to have some of the filmmakers available for talkbacks with movie goers interested in how the films were written and produced. The screenings are as follows:
- Friday, November 2nd, Lettie Jensen Center - Amherst
- Saturday, November 3rd, Ben Franklin Junior High School - Stevens Point
Tickets are available through the UWSP Box Office in Stevens Point (715) 346-4100 and the Jensen Center, Amherst (715) 824-5202. Tickets also available at the door.
The cwfilmfest is appropriate for all ages. Some movies may contain strong language. Parents need to use their discretion.

The Central Wisconsin Film Festival (cwfilmfest) showcases emerging and established independent film and video makers. Established in 2006, cwfilmfest supports film and video makers that demonstrate a high regard for moving images as artistic expression. cwfilmfest's intent is to promote understanding, tolerance, entertainment and social awareness while providing a stimulating and enriching cultural experience within central Wisconsin.
