First published in 2006, the EMERGING WRITERS & ARTISTS OF PORTAGE COUNTY: 2008 showcases emerging student writers and artists of Portage County. All students, kindergarten through college are encourage to submit work to this professionally published book. The theme of the book this year will be the celebration of Stevens Point's 150th Anniversary. Submissions are asked to have a theme of history, tradition or culture.
All proceeds from this book help fund the Newspapers In Education program, support the Literacy Council of Portage County and ensure that the arts continue to be nurtured and remain accessible to everyone by supporting the Arts Alliance of Portage County.
